Thank you for your interest in St. John Lutheran School! We look
forward to meeting you and your student. St. John provides a strong
academic curriculum, extra-curricular activities, service opportunities,
and athletics under girded with Christian training and world view.
In order to begin the application process for your child, please follow
these steps:
• Fill out completely and sign all forms including application,
emergency and
health information, and SMART Tuition plan brochure
• Provide a copy of your student’s most recent report
card and standardized
test score report (FCAT, Stanford Achievement, etc.)
• Have teacher recommendations filled out, signed, and returned
to St.
John Lutheran School
• Schedule an interview & tour of our school
It is helpful to have your student’s paperwork and application
materials available for review during the interview if possible. St.
John staff will be checking each applicant’s attendance and
discipline record as a part of the application process. Completed
application files are forwarded to our Admissions Committee. Parents
are then notified of the committee’s decision as to a student’s
enrollment.
Once your child has been admitted to St. John Lutheran School, the
following documents must be provided in accordance with Florida state
law. If you are moving to Florida from another state, the Marion County
Health Department will transfer your records to our state form at
no cost. Students will not be allowed to attend school until the following
health and immunization records are complete, updated, and in order:
• State of Florida physical examination
• Up-to-date State of Florida immunization card (blue form
#680)
• Records from the previous school
• Birth certificate copy
